Who we are
NJS Works is a nonprofit organization based in Brunswick, Maine, organized under applicable state and federal law as a tax-exempt public charity described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Information we collect
Depending on how you engage with us, we may collect:
- Information you provide directly. For example, your name, email address, phone number, organization name, message content, and any other details you include when you email us, call us, or otherwise contact us (including sponsorship or donation inquiries).

We use this information to operate and secure the Site and to understand aggregate usage.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the Site to function, or that help us measure performance in the aggregate. If we use optional analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, provide choices. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide information about our programs;
- Process and acknowledge donations and sponsorships, issue tax receipts where applicable, and maintain required nonprofit records;
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our communications;

How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who assist us (for example, website hosting, email, or payment processing) subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect safety or enforce our agreements.
